Terms of Use
The ground rules for finding your mountain crew and using Snow Buddies.
Last updated ·
1. About Snow Buddies
Snow Buddies helps adults find skiing and snowboarding friends, share mountain plans, arrange group rides, and message one another. These terms cover our app and website. We do not operate resorts, provide guiding or instruction, arrange transportation, or supervise meetups. A plan or ride in the app is not a booking, lift ticket, or reservation.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 to use the app. Use accurate information, sign in with your own Apple account, and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize. Do not impersonate someone or share account access. Visit Support if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Respect the community
Follow our Community Guidelines. Harassment, threats, hate, scams, sexual exploitation, unlawful content, and misuse of another person’s information are prohibited. Do not scrape profiles, send spam, evade a block, interfere with the service, or access data without permission.
4. Meetups and mountain conditions
Profiles, experience levels, plans, and messages are supplied by members. We do not verify a member’s identity, age, skills, equipment, or suitability as a riding partner. Make your own decisions about whom to meet and where to ride. Skiing, snowboarding, travel, and meeting people involve risks, including serious injury. Read our Safety tips, follow resort rules, and choose terrain within your ability.
Maps and trail information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. A route in the app does not establish that a trail is open, safe, patrolled, or accessible. Resort signs, closures, patrol instructions, and current conditions take priority. Snow Buddies is not an emergency service.
5. Content you share
You keep ownership of your content. You give Snow Buddies permission to store, process, and display it as needed to run the service, deliver it to the people you share it with, and address reports or misuse. Share only material you have the right to use. Do not publish another person’s private information or image without appropriate permission.
Removing content cannot remove copies others have already saved outside the service. Our Privacy Policy describes how information is handled and the controls available to you.
6. Reports and account restrictions
Report a profile, ride, or message and block members in the app. We may review reported content and relevant context, remove content, or restrict accounts to address safety concerns, violations, fraud, or legal obligations. Reports do not guarantee a particular response or response time. Visit Support if you believe an action was a mistake.
7. Availability and outside services
Features may change or be interrupted, particularly during prelaunch testing. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee that it will always be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. Apple, resorts, map providers, and other linked services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse a service.
8. Responsibility and your rights
You remain responsible for your conduct and decisions on and off the mountain. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Snow Buddies is not responsible for other members’ conduct, third-party services, or losses caused by relying on inaccurate member or map information. Nothing here excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
9. Leaving and changes to these terms
You can stop using Snow Buddies at any time. To delete your account, open Profile → Settings → Delete account and confirm. We may update these terms as the service develops. We will update the date above and provide notice of material changes as appropriate.
